Illinois American Water (IAW) is now officially the owner of the Village of Hardin’s water and sewer plant. As of June 7, the company took over operations of the village’s water and it was announced at the June 8 Village Board meeting. The company purchased the plant for $3,310,395.04. Hardin water customers will now pay every month instead of every other month. The Village of Hardin’s office remains open and residents will still be able to pay this month’s bill there.
