Each year, the Brussels American Legion Post #685 recognizes an individual who exemplifies the true qualities of courage, honor, leadership, patriotism, scholarship and service. This year’s honorable mention went to Sadie Kiel. This year’s winner of the American Legion Award is Leila Schulte. These young ladies received their certificates and medals during their eighth grade graduation ceremony on May 25.
