Registration is open today for the 2022 Calhoun County Classic being held on July 31. The classic is a supported bike ride with routes of 22, 44 and 85 miles through Calhoun County, Illinois.
The ride will start at Pere Marquette State Park in Grafton and riders will be allowed to start anytime after the 6:30 a.m. check-in, but no later 8 a.m. From the start, riders will cross the Mississippi River by ferry into Calhoun County to ride their respective routes at their own pace.
The Calhoun County Classic will include rest stops with food and water, marked routes, turn-by-turn navigation, and support vehicles to help riders in case of mechanical issues.
As with all Trailnet Classics rides, proceeds from this ride help fund Trailnet’s work in pursuit of safer streets for all.
“The Trailnet Classics offer riders a unique experience to explore the region on bike while also supporting our work to help communities make it easy and safe for people to walk and bike every day,” Cindy Mense, Trailnet’s CEO said.
Calhoun County Classic registration is available at Trailnet.org/rides. Trailnet members receive a lower price and free ride vouchers that may be applied towards these rides.
