Saturday, July 30
Batchtown Picnic at St. Barbara’s Church in Batchtown. The traditional picnic starts at 5 p.m., after the 4 p.m. mass. People will be in line for the traditional turtle soup, beef sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, hot dogs and assortment of desserts in the basement, and fish sandwiches, corn dog, funnel cakes, soda, ice cream, snow cone, and beer on the picnic grounds.
Sunday, July 31
Batchtown Picnic at St. Barbara’s Church at 5 p.m. The menu consists of fried chicken, roast beef, homemade, mashed potatoes, gravy, dumplings, dressing, slaw, green beans, bread, butter, and choice of pie.
Wednesday, Aug. 10
Modern Woodmen Dinner– Chapter 18050, at Illinois River Dock Restaurant from 4 to 7 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 20
Kampsville Summer Sesquicentennial celebration. There will be a BBQ cookoff, fireworks, vendors, food, bounce houses, music, pageants, and games. Parade will begin at 11 a.m. with lineup starting at 9:30 a.m. More information to come.
Wednesday, Aug. 24
Modern Woodmen Dinner– Chapter 12243, at Illinois River Dock Restaurant from 4 to 7 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28
The Tri-County Antique Club will be celebrating their 31st Anniversary by holding their annual fundraising event, the Olden Days, “Under the Windmill,” located at 23946 State Highway 3, Dow, IL.
