Scott royalty competes for chance at Illinois County Fair

The Scott County Agricultural Fair had their first Queen and Princess pageant Monday night and will now be able to represent Scott County at the Illinois County Fair pageant in January for the first time ever. There were seven young ladies vying for the title of queen and seven younger ladies vying for the title of princess so the judges had their hands full picking the winners.

Jayda Clark, daughter of Chris and Barb Clark, gives a big smile during the on-stage question portion of the pageant. Her question was “what is your favorite farm animal and what sound does it make.” She said her favorite animal was a horse, but after trying to make the sound a horse makes…well…she might just change her favorite animal to the cow…moooooo.

The last and final Miss Winchester Josie Clayton and Little Miss Winchester Rebecca Bean Winningham make their way to center stage to make their final speech as Scott County royalty before turning in their crowns to new reigning royalty.
