The annual Bethel Church homecoming will be held on Sunday, August 21 at the beautiful historic church located on County Hwy 14 south of Griggsville. The service will begin at 2 p.m. Special music will be provided by April Myers, and Pastor Roper will give the message. The long tradition of singing ‘Church in the Wildwood’ and ‘Till We Meet Again’ will be continued.
Last month a couple work days were held at Bethel Cemetery, the resting place of many old Pike County pioneers. Around 10 tombstones that were leaning badly have been straightened and a number of old stones were cleaned. The cemetery board and volunteers are proud of the work that was done and hope to continue our work in the future.
