Five Pike County girls competed in the Little League World Series last week in Delaware. Players from Pike County included, Grace Henry, Pittsfield, McKinley Lowe, Ava Wombles, all from Pleasant Hill and Emma Henry of Pittsfield. The girls were joined by team mates from Brown County, Carthage, Macomb and Havanna. The team went 4-2 overall and was 3-1 in pool play. Grace Henry had a grand slam in the first game and Emma Henry had a two run home run. Official results are not available but Winchell and Wombles had several RBIs and great defensive plays while Lowe pitched two stellar games and contributed offensively has well.
