Lunch is served Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Come join us for a delicious hot lunch. Over 60: donate what you can afford. Under 60: you must pay $7, the full cost of the meal. Thank you for your support!
Brussels Frozen Meals:
Brussels Frozen Meals will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 14. The pickup will be at South Calhoun Retirement Center in Brussels. They will be there at 1 p.m.
Caregiver support:
The West Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging has started a program for support to caregivers. You can contact, Holly Gloodt, Caregiver and Engagement Specialist at 217-223-7904 ext. 170. It is a free resource to anyone interested.
Menu for the week:
Thursday, Sept. 1: Smokey Mountain chicken, chive studded mashed potatoes, hominy, blondie bar.
Friday, Sept. 2: Potato and kielbasa bake, cabbage, wax beans, mixed fruit.
Monday, Sept. 5: Closed for Labor Day.
Tuesday, Sept. 6: Baked chicken, sweet potatoes, green beans, Jell-O cake w/whip topping.
Wednesday, Sept. 7: Glazed ham, scalloped potatoes, country blend vegetables, five cup-salad.
Services offered at Calhoun County Senior Center are as follows: Medicare D Enrollment (Oct. 15 – Dec. 7), Discount License Plates, Amplified Telephones, Social Security Assistance, Transportation Assistance and Welcome to Medicare turning 65.
Information and Assistance is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please call to schedule an appointment: 618-576-9567. We are able to help walk-in clients as time allows.
I will be out of the office from Aug. 25, until Sept. 6. There will be someone to answer the phone for some days, but, if not, leave a message and I will get back to you when I am back in the office.
