Wednesday, Sept. 21 and Thursday, Sept. 22
• Donations of household items will be accepted by Milton-Pearl HCE from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 1-5 p.m. on Thursday. Bring your donations to the community center. The money earned at the flea market during the Corn Carnival has been used to help support things like the community centers in Milton and Pearl, Christmas Basket program, Honor Flight, Unmet Needs, 4-H trophies and other community projects.
Friday, Sept. 23 and Saturday, Sept. 25
• The Milton Corn Carnival is this weekend. Pageants are Friday evening. Games for the kids start at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and the Parade begins at 1:30 p.m., more fun activities will follow the parade. For Parade information, contact Heather Richards at 217-491-2008. Saturday evening’s entertainment is a Hypnotist at 7:30 p.m. Come and enjoy Milton’s pork sandwiches, carnival rides, and fun for the whole family. Tuesday, Sept. 27
• A butterfly release and pollinator project program will take place Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Pittsfield Public Library. Master Naturalist Amanda Fox will instruct attendees on how to attract pollinators, the life of the Monarch Butterfly, and the migration of the Monarch. Snacks and kids activities available. Attendees will receive a butterfly weed. For more information, call 217-285-2200.
Thursday, Sept. 29
• Pike County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours will take place Thursday, Sept. 29, from 5-7 p.m. at Pike County Glass’s new location at 1351 W. Washington in Pittsfield. Water, soda, and grilled pork chops will be available from Pike County Glass.
Thursday, Oct. 20
• Pittsfield High School Class of 1957 will celebrate their 65 year reunion from 4 to 7 p.m. (dinner at 5 p.m.) at the Pike County Senior Center, 220 W. Adams St., Pittsfield. To reserve your space contact Les Allen at 217-385-2336 or Deleta Shaw at 314-406-6671.

• Pike County Chamber of Commerce’s Girls Night Out (GNO) on the Square will take place in downtown Pittsfield from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3. GNO is Pike County’s biggest shopping night of the year – full of specials, giveaways, socializing, and delicious food and drink in beautiful downtown Pittsfield.
