Travis McDonald, 37, Griggsville, the man accused of setting fire to the Lynch’s Livestock Barn in Griggsville, three times and to a semi-truck parked on the facilities’ lot, has been charged with additional crimes. McDonald is alleged to have set fire to the hog-buying facility Sept. 12,14 and 15. He was arrested after the Sept. 15 fire.
Sept.19, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department filed additional charges against McDonald.
McDonald faces additional charges of: burglary, arson, criminal damage to property ($10,000-$100,000)
The additional charges stem from an incident that occurred July 26 where McDonald is accused of entering and setting a garage on fire in the 600 block of North Chandler Street, Griggsville. The garage and contents were a total loss to the property owner.
The investigation is on-going and additional charges are likely.
All suspect(s) are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law and may have posted bond and released from the Pike County Jail prior to press time.
