The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced lane closures for this week on Joe Page Bridge.
Weather permitting, traffic will be reduced to one lane from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, to Thursday, Oct. 20, as well as Monday, Oct. 24, to Thursday, Oct. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
IDOT said in a press release that the closures are for routine inspections of the structure.
“Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area,” the release stated. “To avoid the work area, when feasible, use of alternate routes should be considered. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to changed conditions and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits, refrain from using mobile devices and be alert for workers and equipment.”
