Are you looking for a way to get involved with our community but don’t know how? Are you a new resident, part of a young family looking for meaningful things to do with the kids, or a student looking for community service hours or experiences?
Maybe you just want to give back. If any of these things ring true to you, then the Service Organization Volunteer Fair is for you!
The Pittsfield Lions Club and Picture Pittsfield, organizers of this new event, believe this will be a great opportunity for anyone who is looking for a way to get involved. The Service Organization Volunteer Fair will be Thursday, Oct. 27 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Pike County Senior Center, 220 W. Adams in Pittsfield.
The Fair will showcase over a dozen exhibitors representing service organizations from the Pittsfield area. Representatives from the service organizations will be on hand to provide information about the mission and activities of their respective organizations, as well asvolunteer opportunities. The public will have an opportunity to learn about these organizations and find ways to serve the community.
The Service Organization Volunteer Fair is free and open to the public.
Should you have any questions or need more information about the Fair, call Kaye Iftner at 201-
