Residents were encouraged by the city government of Pittsfield to avoid Fayette Street last week, because construction crews were milling, applying oil, and asphalting the street.

City of Pittsfield workers wrapped up the resurfacing of Fayette Street on Thursday afternoon. The newly improved roadway has been milled, oiled , and asphalted in an effort to improve driving conditions for Pittsfield residents and visitors.
