Cleve and Suzanne Curry, performing at Xtreme Whitetail Lodge, entertained bus loads of visitors from Springfield and Decatur during this week’s Christmas Lodge Tour. This was the 17th annual tour, and marks the final year of the event. The tour originated as a way to generate awareness of Pike County’s many lodges and to create business at the lodges outside of the hunting season. The lodge tour has been successful in driving yearlong business to Pike County’s lodges. The tour is coordinated by Access Illinois Outdoors. This year’s Christmas Lodge Tour features five Pike County lodging establishments – Harpole’s Heartland Lodge, Sunset Valley Lodge, Illinois Xtreme Lodge, Sprague’s Kinderhook Lodge, and the William Watson Hotel. At each stop, visitors will enjoy viewing holiday floral displays from Bloomer’s, Judi’s Country Store, Ruthie Bea’s, and Flowers-N-More.
