The Hardin Village Board approved the appointment of a two year term for new board member, Amanda Tepen, during last week’s regular board meeting.
In other new business the board approved a campground ordinance regarding campground licensing and recreational use, and also approved the annual tax levy ordinance.
Other items during Wednesday’s meeting including discussion regarding the roofs at the gazebos in the park and the possibility of doing some Christmas lights in the park next year.
With riverfront development already being planned, Mayor Dave Hurley said he’d like to see how that progresses before taking action on any other items.
In old business the board discussed updates on the flood buyout, which the village has still not received from the state and intends to use for multiple projects including road widening and bridge improvements.
In other business the board also heard details on the Calhoun Growth Association from Mary Louise Helbig with the Calhoun Community Foundation, approved the treasure’s report and approved the minutes from last month’s board meeting.
The next Village Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m.
