Hopeful candidates for the April 4 ballot had from Monday, Dec. 12, until Monday, Dec. 19, at 5 p.m. to file for candidacy in their intended office.
In the Village of Kampsville, six seats on the Village’s Board of Trustees will appear on the ballot this spring, including the role of mayor, following Wade Gibson’s resignation in October.
Three four-year term seats are available. Running for those seats are: Terry Hausman, Stephanie Angel and Dylan Kuhlman. Hausman and Angel were appointed to the board at the November meeting of the Kampsville Board of Trustees.
Two, two-year term seats were left vacant and available. Running for those seats are: Bill Agney, Gary Smith and Jodi Becker. Becker previously held the position of Village Clerk before resigning in October.
Amanda Johnson and Angie Suhling are running to be the next Mayor of Kampsville. Johnson has been acting Village President since Gibson’s departure.
Election information for Calhoun County’s other villages and school districts will be available next month. This election will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
