Another charge of sexual abuse has been filed against a Carrollton man for allegedly having sexual contact with a minor.
A charge of Criminal Sexual Abuse, a Class A Misdemeanor, was charged against Harley D. Angel, 19, on March 1, alleging that on or about October of 2021, he committed the offense of Criminal Sexual Abuse in that he committed an act of sexual conduct with a female who was at least 13 years of age, but under 17 years of age in that the defendant touched the sex organ of the female over her underwear with his hand and that the defendant was less than five years older than the alleged victim.
It is the second charge in as many months brought against Angel. Angel was charged on Jan. 27 with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a child, a Class X felony.
According to those charging documents, on or about September 2022, Angel committed an act of sexual penetration with a female victim, who was at least 13 years of age but under 17 years of age in that the defendant placed his sex organ in the sex organ of the victim and the defendant was at least five years older than the victim.
Angel was originally arrested by Carrollton Police on Nov. 30, 2022 and booked into Greene County Jail on numerous sex-related offenses including: Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, Grooming, Indecent Solicitation of a Child and Unlawful Restraint.
Angel has a preliminary hearing set for the first charge, Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, on Friday, March 31, at 11 a.m. at the Greene County Courthouse.
