The former nurse’s building, administration quarters, medical equipment sales and pharmacy building at the corner of Franklin and Adams was torn down Tuesday morning. The 80-year old building is being replaced with a newer building that will allow Illini Hospital to offer more services and offer them on the campus of the main hospital. It is hoped the project will take about one year.
