Pike County senior members of the Pike CEO class, along with some dignitaries opened up the annual trade show April 27. The Pike County Chamber of Commerce opened the Pike CEO Tradeshow with a ribbon cutting on April 27. Ten students showcased their unique businesses to the public with booths and product samples setup at JWCC’s Southeast Education Center.
The Pike CEO Program is an entrepreneurial leadership program for Pike County high school students. CEO stands for Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities.
The CEO program is a year-long course that meets five days a week for 90 minutes a day. The students meet with local businesses to get an understanding and appreciation for the area business community. Using this knowledge, students learn firsthand what it takes to start a business.
