Jacqulynn J. ‘Jackie’ Claus | 88 | Quincy

Jacqulynn J. “Jackie” Claus, 88, of Quincy, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy.Jackie was a New Year’s baby, born Jan. 1, 1935 in Quincy, daughter of the late Roy E. and Virginia Cress Kron. Jackie attended St. John’s Grade School and Quincy High School, graduating in 1952. In addition to being a homemaker, Jackie was employed in various capacities throughout the years in Quincy, Springfield, Baton Rouge and San Diego. She was of the Catholic faith. In 1985, Jackie married her soul-mate Frank L. Claus of Pittsfield, who preceded her in death in 1998.Survivors include Jackie’s daughter, Gail (Louis) DeGreeff of Naples, FL; two step-daughters, Linda (John) Bobel of Makanda, IL and Sandra Lee Claus of Vancouver, WA; two granddaughters, Angela Fisher of Quincy and Christina Adler of St. Louis; three great grandchildren; her sister-in-law Rose Kron of Baton Rouge, LA; and three nephews.
Jackie’s brother Roy E. Kron, Jr, preceded her in death.
A prayer service and Rosary will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 5 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Pittsfield. Burial will be in Pittsfield West Cemetery.
