One injured in motorcycle wreck

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle on May 20 near Roodhouse.
According to a report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department the accident occurred at approximately 5:53 p.m. at the intersection of NE 1500 Street approximately three-fourths of a mile north of Roodhouse.
Molly A. Seymour, 38, of South Jacksonville was on a 2018 Honda motorcycle when for some unknown reason the motorcycle she was riding left the roadway near the intersection of NE 1500 Street and crashed. There were no other vehicles involved in the crash.
Seymour was not wearing her helmet at the time of the crash. Two Greene County ambulances were spotted at the scene of the accident and a helicopter flew to the scene and airlifted Seymour from the crash scene to Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
Also assisting at the scene of the crash were the Roodhouse Police Department, Roodhouse Fire Department and Greene County EMS.
Seymour was cited for Driving Under the Influence, Improper Lane Usage and Driving Too Fast for Conditions.
