The Pleasant Hill Fire Department was notified Friday, July 28, that they have received a grant to purchase a new pumper for the department. The grant is a Assist to Firefighters Grant through Federal Emergency Management Agency(FEMA)
“The pumper we have is a 1980,” Cory Winchell, fire chief, said. “It’s time for a new one.”
Winchell said there will be a pre-bid meeting Aug. 28 and bids will be accepted until 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25.
Depending on the company that gets the bid, delivery of the new one could be a year out.
