Work continues as the facade of the Reachout Building at 120 South Madison in Pittsfield is being removed. As workers remove the tan facade, the original brick of the building can be seen. In addition, the outlines of the building’s original windows can be seen. The facade is being removed, because bricks and debris were falling from the building, threatening cars and pedestrians along Madison Street. The building, owned by Two Rivers Regional Council of Public Officials, will ultimately more closely resemble the building as it was originally built in 1894.
