DENNIS R. KRAUSHAAR
A Pike County Deputy along with a Pittsfield Police Officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle that was reported stolen from Chrisman, Tuesday, Dec. 12 in the early evening hours.
The vehicle fled from the scene and crashed a short time later in a backyard off West Lowry Street in Pittsfield after leading officers on a lengthy trail.
The driver of the vehicle, 49-year-old Dennis R. Kraushaar of Jerseyville, fled the scene on foot and was apprehended a short distance from the crash by Pike County Deputies.
Kraushaar was arrested on the following charges, possession pf a stolen vehicle, aggravated fleeing to elude, driving while license is suspended, possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, forgery , criminal damage to property, arrest warrant out of St. Clair County, arrest warrant out of Macoupin County, arrest warrant out of McDonough County.
Kraushaar is presently housed at the Pike County Jail awaiting prosecution.
