The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office announced that Jason Williams, age 37 or Hardin, was arrested on multiple charges following the execution of a search warrant on the 500 block of French following a methamphetamine and theft investigation.
The Calhoun Sheriff’s Office, Pike County Sheriff, and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Conservation executed the search on Monday, Jan. 29, which resulted in the officers locating stolen property, firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Williams’s charges included unlawful possession of methamphetamine (15-100 grams), two counts of unlawful possession of firearm by a felon, unlawful possession of firearm ammunition by a felon, two counts of unlawful possession of dangerous weapon by a felon, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and theft.
Williams was transported to the Pike County Jail, and was released with GPS monitoring after a pre-trial detention hearing.
In an unrelated incident on Saturday, Jan. 27, two Hamburg residents were arrested for unlawful drug possession, among other charges, following the execution of a search warrant by the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office, Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Conservation.
The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office stated in a release that William Parkinson, 36, and Ariel Parkinson, 27, were both arrested following a search of a residence on the 400 block of Porcupine Lane in Hamburg in reference to an on-going methamphetamine investigation.
Each suspect was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of causing a child to be endangered. Both were arrested and transported to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office where they were booked and released with a notice to appear.
“The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office reminds citizens to report suspicious activity occurring in their neighborhood to the Sheriff’s Office or Two Rivers Crimestopppers,” the department stated in the release.
