Last week, the arrest of Brandon Frame, 33, Barry, was made after a year long investigation.
At the beginning of February 2024, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department was notified by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) of a possible child pornography suspect.
Chief Deputy Zack Orr, who is a member of the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, was assigned to the investigation.
Feb. 15, 2024, the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois State Police concluded the investigation, which resulted in the arrest of Brandon L. Frame, 33, Barry, on 10 counts of child pornography.
Frame is alleged to have possessed videos of children under the age of 13 years old engaged in various sexual acts.
Brandon was arrested and lodged in the Pike County Jail.
Chief Deputy Orr indicated since becoming a member of the Illinois Attorney General’s ICAC Task Force, the number of arrests for child pornography in Pike County is on the rise.
“I am not sure the average citizen knows the amount of child pornography circulating on the internet,” Chief Deputy Orr said. “Luckily, we have another ICAC task force member, Illinois State Police Special Agent Jordan Gerard, who is assigned to Pike County and the surrounding areas, to help combat child pornography in our area.”
Sheriff David Greenwood said it takes dedicated people to investigate these types of cases where large amounts of extremely disturbing evidence must be painstakingly reviewed, processed and compiled into a report that will allow charges to be brought.
“I commend Chief Deputy Orr on his dedication to these investigations and his desire to curtail this type of criminal behavior that harms children every day,” Greenwood said. “With the appointment of Special Agent Gerard to the ICAC Task Force and his dedication to our community, it will only increase our ability as law enforcement to bring individuals that engage in this behavior to justice.”
