Working While Receiving Benefits: Individuals are able to work while receiving social security benefits but there is an amount of money an individual can make while also drawing social security. The following is a list of the limits that can be made: Under full retirement age: $22,230.00 a year (if you earn more a $1.00 for every $2.00 will be withheld from your benefits); Full year retirement age an individual can make $59,520.00 before the month of full retirement age (if you earn more $1.00 for every $3.00 will be withheld from your benefits); Month of full retirement age and above there is no limit on how much money an individual can make.
