Zack Evans and Chance Little have both received all-state recognition for boys’ basketball.
Evans received the second most votes and was named First Team All-State by the Illinois Media. Illini Bluffs’ Hank Alvey received the most votes.
Evans was also named First Team All-State by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association. He was also Co-Player of the Year by KHQA-TV. Quincy High School’s Bradley Longcor III was the other Co-Player of the Year.
Evans scored 30 points and was named his team’s Most Valuable Player at the Central Illinois Sports All-Star game Mar. 17 at Pittsfield. He also won the slam dunk competition.
Little was named to the All-State Third Team by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association. He was named Honorable Mention by the Illinois Media.
Evans and Little were both selected to the Western Illinois Valley Conference First Team. Mason Berry and Carson were selected to the Second Team.
Berry won the free throw competition at the CIS All-Star game.
West Central head coach Ryan Sichting was named Coach of the Year by KHQA-TV.
