The Calhoun County Historical Society will be holding their Annual Dinner Meeting on Tuesday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at the Fill Inn Station Restaurant in Batchtown.
The dinner will be a buffet style meal with fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and slaw, with tea or coffee.
Terry Strumpf, formerly of Batchtown and now Greene County, will be the speaker for the evening providing a presentation on Batchtown with information on Snyders Mound, Mt. Victory School, as well as an artifact display.
The cost of the dinner is $12 per person and reservations must be made by Sunday, April 14. If less than 20 reservations are received by Sunday, April 14, then orders will be taken from the menu rather than the buffet style meal.
To reserve your spot, call Emerson Retzer at 618-535-4945, Tina Pluester at 618-576-2660 or Marietta Nolte at 618-883-3126.
The Calhoun County Historical Museum is located at 108 East Main Street in Hardin, and is currently open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesday.
