ROY IRICK
Roy Irick, 70, of Hull, pled guilty March 26 to the presence of a child sex offender in a school zone and was sentenced to six years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
The investigation began Aug. 17, 2023, when the Pike County Sheriff’s Department was notified by a local school district that a child sex offender was present during a school function.
The case was forwarded to Chief Deputy Zack Orr who completed an investigation and said that Irick attended a school function without prior authorization from the school district’s administration.
