The Winchester High School Car Show was held Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the west side of the high school.
The car show attracted 31 vehicles to take part in the event, including entries from neighboring counties and communities.
One such entrant was a 1984 Corvette, which was entered into the car show by Quincy resident Jim Dice. Dice is originally from White Hall.
Dice’s Corvette is on its fourth owner and has only 80,000 original miles on the odometer.
One of the primary purposes of the car show was to serve as a toy drive.
The car show’s registration fee was the donation of at least one toy worth at least $10. All toy donations were in turn to be donated to the Outreach Community Center to assist with that organization’s Christmas Giveaway.
The Outreach Community Center’s Christmas Giveaway routinely provides Christmas gifts for over 500 area children.
