Christopher and Ryan Hembrough from Winchester attended Lincoln pilgrimage held April 26-28 where 1,000 scouts paid tribute to Abraham Lincoln our 16th president in and around the Springfield area. During this weekend they completed the Lincoln trail that is a strenuous 19-mile hike that starts at Lincoln’s new Salem state historic site and ends at Stuart Park outside of Springfield. Christopher has completed this journey twice as a boy scout, Ryan has completed it the last 3 years. They ended the weekend marching between Lincoln tomb to the old state capitol. Christopher and Ryan are members of Troop 113 of south Jacksonville. If you would like any information on scouting you can contact Todd Clayton at 217-370-4613
