Cheyenne Brundies of Brussels was honored as the District V DAR Good Citizen winner from the Dr. Silas Hamilton Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution at the Illinois State Conference Youth Day luncheon held at the Hotel Double Tree Convention Center, Bloomington, IL April 27. She is the seventh district winner from the chapter since the chapter’s organization in 1963. Those district winners were James Ducey, Calhoun High School 1984, Brad Brown, JCHS 1989 was also the first state winner, Scott Rice, JCHS in 1991, Hannah Roth, Southwestern in 2005, Natalie Landreth, Bunker Hill in 2019, Brigid Dunn, Carlinville 2021 and second state winner. Brundies is the daughter of Denise Brundies-Scranton.
