Floyd Insurance Agency LLC held a well attended public ribbon cutting ceremony at its new Bluffs location at 1 Wilson Street on Thursday, May 9, at 4 p.m. An open house followed the ribbon cutting ceremony, and the public was invited to enjoy the newly renovated space.
Former Bluffs resident Brian Floyd, owner of Floyd Insurance Agency LLC, is opening his agency’s primary office in Bluffs.
The agency also has an office at 1111 West Morton Avenue Suite #8 in Jacksonville. The agency offers personal insurance – including life insurance, annuities, business insurance, auto, home, umbrella, renter, boat, motorcycle insurance, among other types.
According to Bluffs Village President Linda Sapp, Floyd’s familiarity with Bluffs and the surrounding area will be a plus for the new business, as well as those insured by the agency.
“Brian went to school in Bluffs and lived here before he graduated from Meredosia,” Sapp said. “It’s nice that he came back to the community and that everybody knows who he is.”

“There were lots of people there,” Sapp said. “They did a nice job with the building, and the offices are really pretty.”
Floyd and Amy Mitchell-Hart will staff the Bluffs office. The Jacksonville office will primarily be staffed by Hayden Floyd..
Sapp said that Floyd Insurance Agency LLC is a welcome addition to the community.
“We are always happy when a new business opens in Bluffs,” Sapp said. “Everybody will always need insurance.”
