Trinity River Festival is returning to the McCully Heritage Project in Kampsville for a full weekend of live music and camping starting this Friday, June.
The multi-day festival will feature more than 25 musicians and bands performing on an acoustic stage and main stage all while raising funds to support Trinity’s Way. Trinity’s Way was established with the mission to carry on Trinity Buel’s legacy of kindness and compassion for animals and the environment after her untimely death in 2018. The organization works with other non-profits to provide support and supplies as they work to protect and serve the best interests of animals and the environment.
The musical festival became an annual event seven years ago and last year the organization decided to make the move from their venue in Cottage Hills to McCully so that they could add camping to the festival.
“We’re really attracted to their mission of environmental education and preservation and conservation since our mission is to help other animal and environmental related non-profits,” Trinity’s mother April Gray said. “It made sense to move from where we were to somewhere that really fit better overall with what we hope to accomplish.”
Last year Trinity River Festival was able to raise $1,000 for the McCully Heritage Project as well as an additional $1,000 that was donated to local animal non-profits.
This year’s festival will kick off Friday evening with Hallelujah Lilly on the acoustic stage at 4:45 p.m. and Abigail Tate on the main stage at 5:30 p.m. Spillie Nelson will close things out Friday evening on the main stage at 10 p.m., and things will start up again Saturday morning with Joshua Grassle and Friends on the main stage at 11:30 a.m.
The weekend lineup includes Agents of the Free, Krickett and the Grilled Avocados, Everhart and Company, Setbreak Sarahs, The Peacelords, Silver Material, Modern Pasta, The Trophy Mules, Psychedelic Symphony, and many more.
