The Pike County Sheriff’s Department responded to a stolen vehicle report in Perry on June 16 at 5:38 p.m. The victim reported that his red 2011 Ford truck had been stolen.
The vehicle was recovered a short time later at the Community Park in Chapin.
A criminal investigation was conducted, and on June 17 at 3:18 p.m., law enforcement officials executed a court-authorized search warrant at an apartment located in the 100 block of W. Main Street in Perry.
Subsequent to the execution of said search warrant, John P. Baker, 46, of Jacksonville, was arrested on the following charges: unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle, burglary, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, driving on a suspended license.
Baker remains lodged in the Pike County Jail.
