The Pikeland Board of Education met July 9 in a special meeting to discuss personal matters.
“We had some positions we needed to get filled,” Jo Campbell, interim superintendent, said.
Positions filled included: Carrie Wyatt, district social worker, Morgan McDonald, transfer to PCS counselor, Reese Ramsey, long-term substitute teacher, Cathy Wilson, short-term substitute teacher.
For extra curricular positions, Chad Ruzich was hired a the junior high girls basketball coach and Jason White was hired as the junior high softball coach.
Laura West was hired as the summer speech teacher.
The board was expected to meet last night in their regular monthly meeting and Campbell said they would be filling more vacancies within the district.
