Pikeland Unit 10 met July 17 in its regular monthly meeting and filled some of the vacancies on the faculty.
New hires included: Chris Henry, long term substitute teacher, Mary Barnes, long term substitute teacher, McKayla Jennings, long term substitute teacher for the for the fall of 2025, first semester and certified agriculture teacher starting Jan. 1, 2026.
Steve Rylander, long term substitute teacher at Pittsfield High School , Paul Lennon, long term substitute teacher at Pittsfield High School, Jennifer Wilschetz, general education teacher at Pikeland Community School.
The board also accepted the resignation of Steve Rylander as junior high social studies teacher.
Extra curricular hires included: Noah Mendenhall, full-time, paid assistant football coach at Pittsfield High School Tommy Shaw and Mason Pherigo, half-time assistant football coach at Pittsfield High School , Steve Rylander junior high boys basketball head coach at Pikeland Community School, Brandon Kindhart, junior high baseball assistant coach at Pikeland Community School.
Charlie Cox was transferred to the large bus route, covering New Hartford and Rockport.
Personnel decisions from a special meeting July 9 included: Carrie Wyatt, district social worker, Morgan McDonald, transfer to PCS counselor, Reese Ramsey, long-term substitute teacher, Cathy Wilson, short-term substitute teacher.
For extra curricular positions, Chad Ruzich was hired a the junior high girls basketball coach and Jason White was hired as the junior high softball coach.
Laura West was hired as the summer speech teacher.
