After several years of not having appointed committees within the district, the Carrollton School Board approved numerous committee assignments at the Aug. 19 meeting.
With the resignation of board member Tammy Weber, some committees now have only two members. More than likely, the person chosen to take Weber’s place will be assigned to the committees she was assigned to.
Committees and members are:
• Facility Committee: Steve Adcock, Alan Graham and Scott Bryant.
• Finance Committee: Bryant and Amber Flowers.
• Policy Committee: Graham, Bryant and Adcock.
• Curriculum Committee: Bryant, Flowers and Aaron Mehrhoff.
• Strategic Planning Committee: all board members.
• Four Rivers Special Education Board of Director’s meetings: Bryant, delegate and Graham, alternate.
Negotiating Committees
• Certified Union: Graham, Bryant and Jeff Krumwiede.
• Non-certified Union: Mehrhoff, Flowers and Bryant.
• Bus Driver’s Union: Bryant and Adcock.
The board president will serve as a substitute.
The board also approved several appointments at this meeting. They include: Mary Hawkins, reading interventionist; Tamie Gaffner, part time elementary cook; Mary Scoggins, part time cook; Kevin Fraser, industrial arts and Sarah Stringer, part time family liaison.
Several resignations were also accepted: Rebecca Steinacher, part time teacher assistant; Melissa Cox, teacher assistant and Hannah Krumwiede, middle school assistant girls basketball coach.
In the area of extracurricular stipend positions, Evan Hopper was hired as middle school head boys basketball coach.
The following individuals were approved as volunteer coaches: Charles Helton, III, volunteer assistant cross country coach; Clayton Whitlock, volunteer assistant trap coach; Jim Cox, volunteer assistant trap coach and Adriane Abbott, volunteer assistant cross country coach.
