WHS Cheerleaders draw sketches of their plans for the window at Hidden Honey Marketplace
By JESSICA BROWN
Winchester High School students came together to paint many of the windows on the town square Sunday afternoon. They were showing their support for the upcoming Homecoming game against the North Greene Spartans this Friday.
The WHS Student Council is in charge of most of the planning for the project , with different committees within the Council making most of the decisions about the details. Each “team” or group of students had a window to paint, with some working on Rural Cyclery, Studio 29, Sweet N’ Swirl, The Hardware Store. Other students decorated the windows at Willow Branch, Hidden Honey and Alice’s Attic.
The Window Painting activity kicked off WHS’ Homecoming Week, which includes activities every day. Friday the West Central Cougars will face off with the North Greene Spartans at the Winchester High School football field and the week will end with a Homecoming Dance planned for all West Central students in Bluffs on Saturday night.
