Farmers State Bank is proud to announce that two local businesses, S&S School of Dance in Pittsfield, IL and Main Street Restaurant in White Hall, IL, have each been awarded $15,000 in grant funds through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago’s (FHLBank Chicago) Community First® Accelerate Grants for Small Business program. Farmers State Bank applied for the grants on behalf of these two businesses to support their continued growth and development, furthering economic opportunity in our community.
“We are thrilled to have secured grant funding for these two deserving small businesses,” said Jill Moss, Chief Operating Officer of Farmers State Bank. “Supporting our local entrepreneurs is a priority for us, and it is incredibly rewarding to see their hard work recognized. At Farmers State Bank, we are committed to helping our small businesses thrive, and we are proud to play a part in their success stories.”
Both business owners are enthusiastic about how these funds will enhance their services.
Darci Heavner, owner of S&S School of Dance, added, “Receiving this grant means the world to us. When we renovated our current location, we had to prioritize improvements for the space. With these funds, we are able to replace our 30-year old tumbling mats to enhance our tumbling programs and help our students advance their skills.”
“I have been partnering with Farmers State Bank for 18 years, and it was very nice for them to nominate my business for this grant” said Dewalin Painter of Main Street Restaurant. “With the funds, I plan to purchase new equipment and invest in training for a few of my employees.”
The grant allows us to invest in new equipment that will create a better learning environment for our students. We couldn’t have done this without the support of Farmers State Bank.”
Farmers State Bank is proud to partner with local businesses to ensure they have the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive and continue contributing to the future of our communities.
