Area schools and Calhoun Nursing and Rehab honored Veterans and their families Friday morning.
Calhoun Unit 40 Schools held a breakfast and program singing songs. A crowd favorite was the Jr. High singing about all branches of the military. Brussels Schools also held a program honoring their Veterans as well and Army Specialist Sam Schofner visited St. Mary’s reading to the students and answering questions.
Calhoun Nursing held a parade of Veterans down their halls.
On Veterans Day Kampsville American Legion held a luncheon for Veterans and their families.
Veterans Day is a day to honor all who made the sacrifices for our freedoms.
