The Bluffs community didn’t let frigid temperatures deter them from coming out to support Santa in The Park last Saturday night. Parents lined the sidewalk around Muntman Park with children eagerly waiting their turn to go inside Santa’s house to give him their Christmas wish lists.
The River Side DJ Service provided Christmas music for the event. The owners, Chris and Barbie Clark, were joined by their 18 year old son Avery who played the role of the Grinch for the evening.
A food truck provided by J&D Rolling Smoke BBQ, Schumakers’ Popcorn and hot cocoa made by an area church were all available as well.
The exuberant crowd braved temperatures as low as 28 degrees, some gathering around a fire to socialize and roast chestnuts. Besides visiting Santa, warming up by the fire and enjoying food options, others took rides on The Folepi Express Horse Drawn Carriage. Children and adults alike were treated to a fun way to tour the streets surrounding the park.
Bluff Mayor Linda Sapp said she was happy with the turnout. “We hope to be bigger and better next year,” she said.
