KARLA CLAYTON

Karla Clayton, a medical technologist at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, is the hospital’s Colleague of the Month for December.
Clayton is widely regarded by her colleagues as a highly knowledgeable lab tech. She takes a hands-on approach to training and teaching new employees, and she is conscientious about the work she performs and the lab instrumentation.
“Karla has been in the field for more than 30 years, and over the time I have worked with her, I have learned something new from her at least every week,” wrote her nominator. “She is always just a phone call away if anyone has questions or concerns about patient results or instrument issues.”
Clayton has worked for Jacksonville Memorial Hospital since 2010.
