Award-winning naturalist Mark H.X. Glenshaw aka “The Owl Man” is hosting a workshop for birders this Friday evening at the First Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville.
Glenshaw has conducted extensive research on Great Horned Owls in Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri since 2005.
As part of his outreach work with owls, he helps people all over the St. Louis metro area find owls in their neighborhoods whether in subdivisions, city neighborhoods, pocket parks or large public parks.
Glenshaw’s talk will show which owls you are most likely to see or hear, where to look for them, how to look for them in a safe and ethical manner, what to listen for, and the importance of research and collaboration.
The Morgan County Audubon Society is hosting Glenshaw’s presentation at the Jacksonville First Presbyterian Church, located at 870 West College Avenue, on Friday, January 10, from 7-8:30 p.m.
