Kaydee Rennecker, daughter of Chad and Lindsey Rennecker of Barry was winner of a non-finalist award this past weekend at the Illinois County Fair queen pageant, held in Springfield. Rennecker holds the title of Miss Pike County Fair.
Rennecker won the interview portion of the pageant.
“I’ve always felt that the interview portion of any pageant I’ve been in, was my weakest,” Rennecker said. “I”m always nervous about the interview portion. But, this time, I felt confident when I came out of the room.”
Rennecker has been participating in pageants for several years. In addition to competing in local pageants at area festivals, she has been crowned the 2018 Jr. Miss Pike County and has been Miss Quincy Outstanding Teen two times.
Rennecker is a freshman at John Wood Community College.
Kaylee Brie Ford, Miss Western Illinois Fair, of Franklin, received third place in the pageant. She is the daughter of Jason and Aleece Ford, also of Franklin
She is currently attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in speech and hearing science with a concentration in audiology. She plans to attend medical school to become an otolaryngologist, specializing in Cochlear implants.
