The recent wind and ice storm caused some significant damage to the Carrollton track and football field. After watching the security tapes, Superintendent Jason Bauer said at 8:14 p.m. on Jan. 5, one of the poles containing the lights for the field broke at the base and fell across the all-weather track taking out the fence around the football field with it. Bauer said after talking with the insurance company, they were told to not move the pole. The amount of damage has yet to be determined. (Carmen Ensinger/Greene Prairie Press)
