Conner Longnecker signed with Quincy University where he will play football and pursue a degree in Cybersecurity.
During his time at Calhoun High School Longnecker has left his mark both in football and basketball. In football He was named first team All-State running back his senior year. Three time All Academic All-State, three time First Team All-Conference running back, two time First Team All-Conference defensive lineman. Longnecker was invited to the Shriners East West All-Star game. He was also awarded the Warrior Pride Award. The James A. Ringhausen Academic Award and voted offensive MVP by his teammates.
During his football career. Connor had 550 carries for 3,316 yards which rates first in school history, Connor ran for 1603 yards his senior year, which is the second most in the season all time. He also scored 37 total touchdowns and 165 total tackles.
In basketball, Longnecker was named first team all conference as a junior, second team all conference as a sophomore, four time Triopia All-Tournament Team, two time Winchester Invitational All-Tournament Team, two time Carlinville All-Tournament team, and North Green Spartan Classic All-Tournament Team. Connor also led the basketball team in rebounds and scoring for the past three years. He has also led the team in VPS for the previous two seasons. Longnecker is also a member of the Calhoun National Honor Society and is the son of Brian and Laura Longnecker of Batchtown.
