Three vehicle accident occurs in downtown Pleasant Hill

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department received word of a three-vehicle accident in the 100 block of Quincy Street in Pleasant Hill, March 4.
Upon arrival it was determined Jesse L. Beasley, 77, Pearl was eastbound on Quincy Street in a 2012 Ford Utility. For unknown reasons, the vehicle left the lane of travel and struck an unoccupied 2019 GMC Yukon, causing the GMC to move forward and strike an unoccupied parked 2022 ia SUV.
The Pike County Ambulance Service transported Beasley and a passenger to Illini Community Hospital.
The Pike County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the Pleasant Hill Fire Department, Spring Creek Fire Department, and the Pike County Ambulance Service.
The accident remains under investigation.
