The DMV Mobile Unit will be at the Extension Office on the following dates: May 9, July 3, Sept. 5 and Nov. 7.
We would like to thank Kate of Calhoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for having bingo with us this month. She is always so fun and cheerful.
Volunteer Driver Needed: We are needing a driver to do our meals on wheels Hardin route on Tuesday and Thursday. Call 618-576-9567 and ask for Nikki.
Medicare B Coverage: Medicare B doesn’t cover most drugs. However, there are a few exceptions such as; immunosuppressive drugs. Medicare has paid for an organ transplant then the needed drugs will be covered. The Medicare Part B deductible applies here. You must have Part A at the time of the covered organ transplant plus you must also have Part B at the time you get the immunosuppressive drugs. An individual will pay for 20% of the Medicare-approved amount for the drugs. Also, Medicare D covers immunosuppressive drugs if Part B does not cover them.
